Investigator awarded 2017 NIEHS ONES award

 Five researchers from San Diego to Boston were awarded the competitive NIEHS Outstanding New Environmental Health Sciences (ONES) awards.  These R01 research grants are targeted for researchers who are defined by the NIH as Early Stage Investigators (ESIs). The Outstanding New Environmental Scientist (ONES) Award is intended to identify the most talented ESIs who intend to make a long-term commitment to research in the Environmental Health Sciences and assist them in launching an innovative research program focused on the understanding of environmental exposure effects on people’s health.  The ONES program is designed to be highly competitive, and only a limited number are awarded per year.

Dr. Mohit Jain, M.D., Ph.D., is a new addition to the UCSD Superfund Research Center. He will be a Core Co-Leader of the newly organized "Genetics and Metabolomics Core" as a part of our competititve renewal grant proposal which we hope will be funded in the next few months.
